Nicolás Villamizar

Nicolás Villamizar is a Colombian painter born in 1982 and living in Madrid (Spain) for more than 15 years. He broke with the family tradition of architects to dedicate himself to painting, illustration and creative direction. His initial style, influenced by graffiti, has evolved into a more diverse and message-laden expression, fusing everything from classical painting to street art. Her works are full of color, with vibrant tones and thick lines that build a narrative where the woman and her body are the main source of inspiration. Along with it, elements of nature such as birds that symbolize freedom and creativity, or flowers, representations of happiness and life that enrich a visual universe that he himself defines as his own mythology adapted to our times. Despite not following his family's architectural path, he has left his mark on murals around the world, highlighting projects such as Standard in Miami and Ibiza and the Thompson Hotel. Nicolás has exhibited his works in cities such as Madrid, Ibiza, Antwerp, Paris, Tulum, Miami and New York. His training in photography, graphic design and audiovisual communication contributes to a distinctive style with a strong visual impact and eclectic messages.
